Goals and Philosophy
Goals and Philosophy
We foster positive early childhood learning experiences that help to shape your child's educational growth and foster a love for learning. We encourage children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts. We allow children to learn at their own pace and in ways that are best for them.
To help children develop reverence for self and others
To help children feel comfortable in school, trust their new environment, experience self-confidence and a positive attitude, develop independence and self-regulation skills, and to make friends and be part of a larger community.
To help children become confident learners and to help them acquire learning skills such as the ability to solve problems, ask questions, and use language and words to describe their ideas, observations, and feelings.
To help children develop large- and small-motor skills and to feel comfortable about what their bodies can do.
The activities we plan for children, the way we organize the learning spaces, select toys and materials, plan the daily schedule and activities, and talk with children are all designed to accomplish the goals of our program and curriculum. THE LIFE Day School provides your child with a successful and positive early learning experience.
THE LIFE Summer Program
THE LIFE Summer Program
THE LIFE Day School offers early-childhood campers 2 through 8 years of age, a fun and stimulating camp environment to explore and learn. Our stimulating summer camp program is designed to meet the intellectual, physical, social-emotional, and creative needs of all the children through open-ended, developmentally appropriate activities. We provide an enriching, hands-on program with an objective toward developing your child’s self-confidence, independence, and initiative. At THE LIFE Day School, your child will find joy in discovery while exploring, creating, and learning.
THE LIFE summer camp program offers six fully equipped air-conditioned classrooms, where children explore, play, and create. Outside, our spacious playgrounds are filled with permanent climbing equipment, a riding track for cars and tricycles, playhouses, sports areas, sensory tables, and water play areas.
Throughout the summer, we have many special activities, including in-house field trips, weekly music, movement, and science classes, as well as outdoor water play, sports and games.
Your child will be guided by qualified teachers and assistants who offer engaging and active learning experiences while providing the care young children need. Staff members are trained in CPR & First Aid.
